Best thing I could say is, "WOW!"
Jennifer was amazing. I was actually just trying to help her get some experience she needed for her training by letting her attend the birth of my second son(a C-section). That being said, I had no expectations. But she really helped to keep me calm and boy was I really nervous, (there were medical issues) and she was very knowledgeable. She was telling me all sorts of things about birth and babies and how they develop that I never knew. And she made my pre-birth experience so relaxing. I certainly never had anyone massage my hands and feet before having my first son. LOL. I'm never letting that go because that just floored me. After my brief experience with her I couldn't help but wonder what it would have been like to have a doula the whole time and if I ever get pregnant again I'd seriously consider asking her to be my doula. I've really enjoyed her postings on FB about doulas and I love reading the information that she shares.

When I found out I was pregnant I didn't even know what a Doula was. Thank god I found Jennifer because looking back I don't know how I would have made it though birth without her.
I wanted giving birth to be a wonderful experience and I didn't have the knowledge to do it alone. Jennifer was up to date on the latest facts and information that gave me options to make the best informed decisions! she is very kind and easy to talk to, it was more like talking to a best friend. She was also like a mentor, guiding me through all the steps of labor and letting me know what to expect and what my choices are instead of just letting the Drs tell me what to do.
I was induced for my labor but Jennifer was there for the whole thing, even coming into the hospital with me at 12:00am. I was nervous, but just knowing I had someone there that knew what I was going though was amazing. She has a very calming attitude that made it easier for me. Through labor she was there the whole time guiding me through each contraction. Having someone close to you during labor is helpful but having Jennifer there as my Doula made it a great experience she always knew exactly what to do and say to make me feel more comfortable.
Over all my experience was great, what made it great was having Jennifer there by my side the whole time, knowing if I ever needed anything she was just a call away! I would recommend her to all my expecting friends.

My husband and I wanted to have as natural a childbirth as possible. We hired a doula to help accomplish this. I had one of those doctors that wanted to do a c section because it fit her schedule. We did not want this. Jennifer was able to educate us on going ahead with a c section vs. waiting for labor to start naturally. She would send us plenty of resources so that my husband and I could make a educated decision. My doctor did not have the time for this nor was she interested, but that's another testimonial. I'll start by saying that I was in labor for 66 hours. Jennifer was with us for about 44 hours of this. She offered to stay on day one as my contractions were 4-5 minutes apart. I was only dialated to one at that point so I sent her home for the night with a promise we would call if we went to the hospital. I felt like she was not only there for me, but she was there for my husband just as much. I don't know how we could have done it without her. The best feeling in the world was having her there for us. It was like having a best friend that was extremely knowledgable about labor and delivery. My main fears were being glued to the bed and an unnecessary c section. My doctor did not see it the same way and we figured this out at 37 weeks. I believe everone needs a doula to help explain your options. Jennifer is qualified to do this for you. Thank you Jennifer! You will always be a fond memory from my son's birth experience.

Let me begin By saying I dont think I wouldve been able to labor at home almost 50 hours without the help of Jennifer! SHe made the enviornment very intimate and relaxing. From the candles to the homemade rice beanie , it was a very calming atmosphere. Jennifer is very sweet and has a great personality. She is open minded to your ideas and beliefs. We highly recommend her services.I wont bore anyone with all the details,but We really appreciated all of the natural knowledge she had and incorporated. My favorite part about laboring at home was the freedom of getting in and out of the tub. Also, my husband laying in bed with me holding me through the contractions. Husband here to offer a testimonial from a different point of view. In short, partnering with Jennifer was one of the best decisions we made for the birth of our son. This is coming from a guy who didn't know what a doula was 6 months ago.
She first met with myself and my wife, Aly, to discuss our vision for birth and to talk about what she offers during pregnancy, birth and post-partem. She was extremely patient and indulged all of my questions (I had a lot) explaining her role in helping us plan for our birth before hand and then when the day comes, she'll be around to support us. That blew me away. As a pre first-time dad, I was maybe a tiny bit terrified about what what I should be doing to support Aly when the time came. She explained that she was not going to take my place in any way and that if Aly wanted me around rubbing her shoulders and didn't immediately need her, she'd make sure our bags were ready and make smoothies and was even willing to drive us to the hospital. This is exactly what Aly and I both wanted/needed.
When the day came, though, my wife went into labor and within 3 hours we had to go to the hospital. We weren't even planning on calling Jennifer until around then, naively assuming it would be a 10+ hour labor. We called Jennifer as we were rushing out the door to the hospital and she was immediately on the way.
We arrived with my wife 10cm dialated (!) and went into the delivery room. Jennifer ran in a few minutes afterwards and hopped up on the bed with her, letting Aly rest her head in her lap and gently coached her through every contraction. 20 minutes later, we were holding our son. :)
Aly cannot stop raving about how much that gentle support helped her, mentally and swears that even having Jennifer around for only 20 minutes during birth was absolutely priceless. I can't agree more. She is confident and supportive and genuinely cares. Do yourself a favor and book her now.
